Wasting time again.. Haish
This time round my Polyphasic sleep Schedule is much more successful (despite me screwing up 3 consecutive naps just now) and i gained quite a lot of extra time... Then i realised that i had been wasting way more than i gain.
A talk with JH made me more daring and clearer about what i wanted. And slowly the goals and stuff started to form in front of me. And my efficiency during wake time went up during the past 24 hours. I guess motivation does help me a lot :D
The part about screwing up 3 consecutive naps comes together with having weird dreams. Firstly i dreamt that i was wearing the clothes of a female anime character in a dilapidated MRT station, then i dreamt that i was texting someone during a concert, and finally that there was a bomb in a MRT and i escaped, only to find some jokers giving out brochures telling me that i have potential for History in Senior High. (Y)
Yesterday i went to McDonalds' Staff Outing. I really did not want to go, but my mum was like "just go la", in any case i was surprised that McDonalds' Staff are so friendly and epic. I loner-ed throughout the outing and ate the BBQ (coming to think about it, i ate a lot of BBQ recently... it is not really healthy for me. ><) And there is this Lucky Draw with only 5 prizes, and i got selected (wth? i was stoning there and dk what happened.) I got a electric pot btw.
And they still have not told me my schedule.. I will go and ask them my job timing after i adapted to my polyphasic sleep + finish my "learning target 1" hehe. :D
My mood recently become a lot better, since i am just observing and amusing myself with events around me, and also that i found my short and long term goal. :D

Feeling confused...
I am confused with what i am thinking right now. And for some reason i am starting to hate social interactions. >< Like, appearing offline the whole time on fb or DHSmail just to avoid chatting with people... Idk, it just feel very weird that i used to be so epic, going around poking at others' status and chatting the whole day...
Should i change? Change back to the "social friendly" person i used to be? I mean, right now i just want to focus on my goal and anime.... but it is really alright to bottle everything up?
My goal is, by the way, to get to University ASAP and make anime reality. Or at least just parts of it. I am really sick of hearing people saying "they are just 2D" and my own "how i wish anime is real" thoughts. Obviously i have yet to put in much effort... and i need more self discipline, but recently this goal and anime had been on my mind the whole time (and obviously i end up wasting lots of time on Anime instead xD) Sometimes, trolls come and tell me useless stuff on fb for no reason. Sometimes, responsibilities get pushed onto my for no reason.. is it enough a reason to cut my social interactions for the holidays? Please tell me....
Not only that, i want to run away from some people, for example, one of my best friends. He keep on rambling with his pessimistic point of view, and i dont know if he is complaining to me because he wants me to help, or he simply is pessimistic to the core. He is my saviour, the person who infected me with his epic attitude, but now he is like this... and i dont know how i can help him....
Honestly, people are so unpredictable... Maybe i should stay a shut in and do nothing with my life hehe :D
Ah, i am also starting with my second round of Polyphasic sleep experiment. Hopefully this time the experiment will be better. That said, i hope i wont doze off at my part time job. My schedule for part time job is irregular.. so i dont know when my next shift will come. ><
Oh and just uploading my second drawing with MS paint (using a mouse :D), i will probably color it soon. xD Ignore the fail signature and the weird star at the side haha. :D
I was thinking of drawing out characters for my story (that barely got any progress), and she is (supposedly) the female protagonist of the story. I cant say that i am really satisfied with this though, as there are many points of improvement, but for now i think this is not bad xD
Paint is surprisingly fun when it comes to this type of stuff, i think i might even submit some drawings for Douhao next year (if they still have the page for drawings xD)
Anyways, just for fun facts: yesterday i was reading up on random stuff on biochemistry, and realise that Silicon, although in the same group as Carbon and 925x more abundant (btw Oxygen is the most abundant element on Earth, bet you didnt know that >:D) on Earth, is not suited for life forms, unless at high temperatures and acidic environment. That made me think that it is possible for life to be on Venus or in the Earth's mantle hehe.
It is quite intriguing to think that whenever we thought we found the limits, we will end up realising that the limit is really small, just like when people in the past though "sky was the limit" and now we realised that the universe is so big, and now we are so focused on finding the limits rather than exploring our own planet (honestly, we have a map of Mars, but we dont have a map of our own seabed) xD What if one day we find some bizarre creature made from Silicon or Boron on our own earth when we struggled so hard to find other lifeforms in outer space? (Although not in the same group, Boron have a great variety of reactions and can form macromolecules)
Ok this post is quite long... I guess it is because i am experimenting with polyphasic sleep again and is feeling bored right now.
Oh and i can spam animes without feeling guilty during this experiment, since i will get a headache if i study. YAY >:D
Ok i will stop for now. Do tell me what you think about the cutting social interactions part. xD :D

On Job Evaluation at McDonald's
So McDonald's agreed to let me try out for an On Job Evaluation. It was 4 hours long from 4pm to 8pm two days ago (i forgot to blog about this since it was really tiring) Yeap, there you have it, it was tiring and stuff, and many accidents happen, but overall the staffs there are fun and i pretty much enjoyed it. At the last hour my knees almost can not take it anymore. ><
By the way i was doing "Lobby", in charge of cleaning the tables, emptying the Bins, mopping the floor and cleaning the toilet. So i have to walk around a lot. The McDonald's work suit is very comfortable, although the buttons are hard to put on. xD
For the On Job Evaluation, i was given a set of McDonald's uniform for free, and $5 x 4h of on-the-spot payment. I realised that right now i can work in 4 hour shifts at max... I wonder how did the other staff manage to last hours without rest... ><
Supposedly if they hire me, they will be paying using bank. James warned me that they may scam me and not pay on time, especially because "they are paying my CPF directly"... So i have to double check about the payments and stuff. :P
I hope i can get hired.. so i can get the money i need for my anime hobbies and stuff, haha! xD

Polyphasic Sleep and Part Time Jobs
Recently i feel that very busy for no reason... Maybe it is because i am adapting back from my Polyphasic sleep.
A summary of polyphasic sleep is sleeping in short chunks. By initially depriving the brain of REM sleep (deep sleep which restore brain power), forces the brain to dive right into REM sleep when we fall asleep. (usually this take place in a 1.5h to 2h cycle) This significantly reduce the total time taken in sleep. For more info go see Wikipedia. :D
There are many different polyphasic sleep patterns. The one i tried is called Dymaxion... or so i think it is called. It involves 4 30-40min naps spaced out in the day. My opinion is that my timing could not have been any worse. I cannot use alarm clock as i am forced to sleep in the living room (When i returned from class chalet, my mum told me some random girl started renting my house because of a broken leg ._. My mum gave her my room so i started sleeping in the living room) If i used the alarm clock the whole house will be awake... so yea... And thus i used the ear pieces, which often fell out of my ears. Not only that, AFA caused me to skip two of the naps, leading to oversleeping.....
If i had not overslept and properly timed the naps, i would probably get used to it in around 4 to 5 days. But i spent 1 week and failed due to the irregular naps. Still, the feeling is awesome. At night when everyone is asleep and i am the only one awake doing stuff.... It feels really awesome. I definitely recommend trying it out, even if it is for a few weeks. If i do not get any part time jobs, i will try that again later this month/next month.
Anyways, part time jobs are hard to find!! >< Many jobs require one to be 16 years old or above. And many jobs have other requirements such as a work bond of a few months. After looking around a few, i decided to go McDonald's, which seems the simplest. I am going for interview, probably tomorrow, with my parents (Well they said require parents consent. Not like i care though) I hope i can get the job!! Since i want to buy things, especially anime stuff. Ah, the top priority things right now is a Tablet, so i can draw. I had always wanted to try "coloring" the pic i draw digitally. :D
Part time jobs generally need to be 16 or above. Singapore Law dictates that 13 years old is the minimum age for a job, with lots of other conditions to protect their rights, and 16 years old is the minimum age when one is "legally an adult" in terms of jobs. I wanted to work night shift at Mcs... but again, the Law does not allow minors to work 11pm to 6am shifts. Part time job salary are generally ranged from $5 to $10 per hour. From what i have heard, 8 hours per shift is the norm, but apparently Sheng Siong has 5 hours per shift.
Well, at the end of the day, i am still aiming for my epic anime paradise, so studying is a must. I am not planning to spam work, no matter how attractive the money looks to me. I am glad that Sheng Siong turned me down, since i almost applied for full time which will deprive me of my time to play, watch anime, and study. :D
After school open, if possible, i would like part time job on Sat and Sun, this way i can get my hands off Saturday Scouts activities, which are really a pain. The pain will be further multiplied by the new Group Scout Leader, Ms Lim. Yes, Ms Eileen Lim. She is strict and quite kind, but not understanding, leading to usage of what we think of as extreme methods.
My inter personal relations are still bad. Since my communication skills are terrible. Most of the time i think it is better if i just shut up and observe. My bad habit of talking nonsense is not helping either... so maybe i have to control myself... Haha :D
I think i blabbered enough for now, time to go eat dinner. :D
See ya~

AFA 2012
10/11 2012. The day i went for AFA for the first time.
The place is packed with people, as if it is a pack of sardines. Honestly... i never expect so many people.
I was late, and Melvin and Jie Hui are already in there. Melvin bought my ticket already so i did not have to queue (Good Melvin). Oh by the way Benedict is watching his Madoka movie so he is not in the same hall as us. We walked around a bit, and i bought some anime themed files. And i wanted to take a nap. Before i fall asleep, i realised that the queue for Sword Art Online is extremely long and since all of us (including Benedict) want to buy things there, it is smarter to queue earlier such that Benedict can join us to queue even after his Madoka Movie. Well, it was really epic since we ended up queuing from 1130 to 1630.. I think. So that is 4 hours. I got 5 of the "random" badges and a bookmark set (The bookmark set is just for collection though). Afterwards we went to eat lunch, and since i have so much fats (did i say that i grew fatter recently?) i did not bother to eat. Honestly the bottle of water i bought was a complete rip off. It costs 2.4 dollars. I can get the same bottle at Supermarket for 1/4 the price.
While Melvin and the rest ate their Instant noodles and donuts, i went back to the exhibition. I queued for an epic store which sells all kinds of stuff. The initial queue took around 30 min and i spent around 20 mins choosing stuff, mostly badges though. Originally i was given a basket but i did not take it. And i regretted it later since i ended up holding 16 badges with my hands with a 1.5 litre bottle and a bag of other stuff. The queue for the counter to buy the stuff is super long and i think i spent another 30-45 min. Not to say that in the end i have to go back and pay another $2.1 coz the cashier miscounted the number of badges... (I bought 7 of the large badge but originally only paid for 6 ._.)
Benedict and Melvin came to find me at that time and we went around buying random stuff. Originally i intended to have $20 dollars remaining, but ended buy buying some other random stuff. So i had 10 dollars left in the end.
One thing i must admit is that i should have spent the remaining $10 too, since it is a once in a year thing... But still, queuing for 4 hours for something and having got i want is really a thrilling feeling. Not only that, there are friends i can chat with, or to help to reserve the queue while i go to the toilet or stuff.
4 lessons learnt from AFA
1) Be early!
2) Be patient!
3) Save money whenever possible!
4) Coins are powerful too!

Class Chalet
The class chalet is held on 6-8/11. I only stayed for 6th and 7th of November. My overall impression of the class chalet is boring. There is a lack of activities, resulting in boredom. I think the next class committee should learn from this and plan activities. Also, we should invite the teachers, especially for BBQ, as they have more experience in planning that type of activities.
On 6/11, we met at Pasir Ris MRT at 5pm and walked to the chalet. The chalet is unexpectedly close to the MRT station, being only a 10 minute's walk away. It has 3 rooms with 2 toilets. The living room is quite big, and some of the boys played soccer passing in there. Also, there is a TV and free Wifi. The water supply is bad though, we have to boil our own water with a small electric boiler. The room allocation is one for boys one for girls. As it was quite late when we reached the chalet, we went to eat dinner after reaching there.
We ate dinner at Subway. I did not bring money (as usual), so i did not eat anything. Cheryl Chua heard that i did not have money and offered to treat me. I was surprised and for a moment cant say anything. xD In the end i turned her down since i was not hungry. Rather, i was very very thirsty at that moment. Hong Kai end up letting me drink most of his drink. My classmates are so nice! <3 font="font">3>
After eating subway, we went to shop for snacks at Fairprice. We bought a lot of chips and some instant noodles. We fooled around. Some of the guys (i think Jarrod) started saying that if you see hot girls you whisper "pst pst" and then the rest began spamming "pst pst" sounds at which ever girl they see. Also, Jarrod, Hong Kai and me laughed at the condom packagings. There were small and epic details written on it which are sick but humorous.
When we reached the chalet we started playing card games, but after a while some people went home, and the rest joined together to play truth or dare. It was really embarrassing. I think it is the same for the rest. McCoy is still the most epic since he actually blushed. Haha!
At around 0130 HK and McCoy dragged me along to LAN, but the shop was closed (expected) and we reached the chalet at around 0200. HK, Jarrod and I slept while the rest continued their "shoot shack marry" and "truth or dare". HK and Jarrod had choir on the next day while i simply cant take it. xD McCoy later told me that he could not believe how he spent the entire night playing those two games with the others. By the way, "shoot shack marry" is basically giving one person 3 people as choices, and allocate shoot, shack, and marry to the 3 people. Shoot is just shoot that person, shack (actually i do not know if this is the correct spelling) is to have a M18 relation with that person, and marry is just marry that person. I didnt get to play as they only started after i slept.. but i think it can be quite epic.
The second day is extremely boring. I went to McCoy's house as it was really boring (btw McCoy's house is really near to the chalet) and i played LoL on his comp. His comp's graphics is extremely good! It is almost as big as my house's TV and have an excellent resolution. My computer can never do that... my resolution is really bad. I met with his brother and his mum, they seem to be nice people. And his brother watches anime too! I played 1 game and McCoy played another, and we went back to the chalet. We went to lunch at hawker center. And again i was not hungry (HK stuffed me with 2.5 cups of instant noodles the night before.) so i did not eat and watched Kingdom episode 23 on McCoy's phone. We then went to ITE East for some fashion show that DHS was involved in and returned at around 5+.
We wanted to BBQ but we dont have charcoal. Olivia said she will bring, but she came at 6 + pm. We got the fire started at 7 pm after getting the lighter. At first i was really pissed that they keep anyhow fanning the fire. But i thought it was a chalet, and there was really no point in getting pissed and ruining the whole mood. At the start, the BBQ is a big failure as the food are all raw and stuff, but at the end we managed to cook some of the food and i ate quite a bit. However, some people already gave up at that point of time and went back to the chalet. T^T With just about 10 people left at the BBQ pit, the BBQ suddenly become much more organized. I was quite full at the end.
I went home with Hong Kai. His house is around 3 bus stop away from mine, and since he know how to get home while i do not, i followed him. We took bus to Hougang and he guided me to the normal place that we get off (if we took MRT). I went home alone from there.
Although it was badly organized, i think the chalet is fun overall and look forward to it next year :D I hope everyone else feel the same haha. :P

Yay... for nothing
There have been quite a few things that happened in the past few days. Firstly, there is this mini OJ for the Year 1s and 2s, also, the first holiday practice for Lion Dance began.
The mini OJ was a disaster. The attendance was much lower than expected, so in the end the 4 participating patrols have to combine into 2 patrols. I believe one of them comprises of Seahorse and Rayfish while the other comprises of Eagle and Tiger. The total attendance for year 1s and 2s of these 4 patrols is 9. And the patrols are called "Pear" and "Banana" As one of the stations was not completed at that point of time, the order of stations was rather strange: "4,1,2,3" and "3,4,1,2". My station was 4. It tests the patrol on survival skill, and apparently they failed badly. Both patrols failed to erect the Hike Tent, although both patrols managed to set up a fire. Pear patrol was simply joke, their fire was completely smokeless even though i told them to "light a signal fire". Overall first aid is also horrendous. I gave them chance to get back the points they lose on the hornet/boar/bear drills but they apparently rock at first aid. And due to the lack of manpower i have to announce epic things like "Yu Jie have died of shock (lack of blood) and have been miraculously revived. He can now join back the activity." Other stations were also kind of hilarious. I dont know how, but Mark's station gave a patrol "3/13" which later changed to "5/13". Either way the score sucks, and dragged down that patrol's score by a lot. Overall, it was fun being the stationmaster as i get to see how my juniors do funny things.
The Lion dance training today was terrible. I felt very tired, but at least it was good exercise. I mean, i rarely get to exercise, so it is actually a good time for me to try. Also, i can use Lion Dance as the Physical Recreation, fulfilling the last criteria for my NYAA silver. Oh i still have not done my reflections at all T^T It will be a torture to do them. Maybe i should start soon. Lion Dance training today is half lecture half PT, which basically drained both stamina and strength out of me. After the Lion Dance, we went to Sukiya for Lunch. I got another diarrhea thanks to spam eating xD And then we went to Hung Ping's house. All these wasted a lot of my time and money, and i would probably be better without doing such things.... I end up not being able to feel better at all.
Oh the feel better part refers to my mental state. After reading Muv Luv Alternative (Visual Novel) I got mentally unstable and often almost break down crying. I mean the story really hit me hard and made me extremely depressed, and halfway through i basically lost sense of "sadness". At the end all the sadness got back to haunt me, but because i cant take it, i simply ran away, and those sadness bottled up without an outlet (usually i cry when i read sad stuff.. but well sometimes i just cant) so i really feel that there is an heavy weight on my chest... I shall not post what about the VN that i felt so sad muahaha. It probably wont make sense to most people.... I wanted to talk to Jing Huang about it, but all he talked about was scouts and lion dance. I cant blame him since he is really concerned about the state scouts is in right now... In Muv Luv Alternative, I forgot who, but someone mentioned something like finding a "noble confident" whom you can tell anything to. And i still dont seem to have anyone like that. Or maybe i should open myself a bit. After all, this year had a lot of things going on, and many of them closed me up. Argh i am getting confused. Whatever... I guess next time i have to prepare beforehand some light hearted anime/visual novel before reading a heavy one. xD On a side note, Muv Luv Alternative, even though it shook me up deeply, it is definitely a masterpiece (by the way the game system sucks, no CG/music/scene mode, but the storyline is awesome) It is one of the rare Visual Novels that have story so good that you rarely see even in decades. (Although my experience with VNs are not that rich... but oh well i dont see why it isnt a masterpiece if it shook me up so badly i cant sleep)
Ok i guess i am crapping a lot without much logic... I should sleep soon or i will really start blabbering nonsense. Oyasumi~~
